System requirements & compatibility
Here's what Vesari Stylus needs to run, and what to expect on your machine.
The short answer
Vesari Stylus runs on 64-bit Windows 10 (version 1803 or newer) or Windows 11 - and that's really the only thing to check. Most Windows PCs from the last several years already qualify. Vesari Stylus is currently Windows-only.
What you need
- Windows 10 (version 1803 or later) or Windows 11. Older Windows 10 builds aren't supported. If you're not sure which version you have, open Settings → System → About and look under Windows specifications.
- A 64-bit (x64) version of Windows. Vesari Stylus doesn't run on 32-bit Windows. Nearly all modern PCs are 64-bit, so this is rarely an issue.
- No administrator account required. Vesari Stylus installs just for you, so you don't need admin rights or IT approval to set it up.
You don't need to install anything else by hand. The one system component Vesari Stylus relies on for its interface is included with the app and set up automatically during installation, so in almost every case there's nothing for you to do.
Surround formats work too - nothing to install
For everyday music - FLAC, WAV, ALAC, MP3, AAC and the like - and for surround formats like DTS, AC-3, and Dolby TrueHD (often found in movie soundtracks and some concert discs), everything you need is already included. Vesari Stylus ships with the surround decoder built in and set up for you, so those formats play out of the box with nothing extra to download or configure.
Hardware and library size
Vesari Stylus is designed to be light on resources. You don't need a powerful gaming rig or a lot of memory - a typical modern laptop or desktop handles it comfortably. It's also built to stay smooth with large collections, so many thousands of tracks is expected, not a problem.
Good to know
- One-time purchase. No subscription, no account to create, and no telemetry - Vesari Stylus never tracks what you play. It does check in with our server for a few specific jobs: your trial, your licence, and whether a new version exists. The privacy article lists every one of them.
- Other platforms. Vesari Stylus is currently Windows-only. We can't promise what other platforms may be supported in future.
If you meet the requirements above and Vesari Stylus still won't start, that's worth telling us so we can look into it. Use the in-app report option, and include your exact Windows version and edition - it helps us pin down what's going on.
